Las Ramblas

A favorite spot for coffee and brunch, and consistently our first choice—especially on a nice day when we’re somewhere between coffee and aperitivo. It’s a well-known chain in Larissa, and you’ll often need to wait a bit for a table, but it’s definitely worth it. If you go, try something with eggs or their delicious sweet pancakes.
Φρούριo (Frourio)
An all-day spot set on the city’s only hill, above the Bezesteni, the ruins of the old Ottoman market, where the ancient acropolis of Larissa once stood. Its stone-paved courtyard is perfect for a refreshing break at any time of day. Even better, visit on warm summer nights, when it’s a bit cooler, and enjoy a cocktail.

Coquet (Tachydromeio Square – Plateia Tachydromeiou)
A popular meeting spot in the city center, perfect for either coffee or drinks. It’s always lively and an easy choice to start (or continue) your night—or for that essential morning coffee. (Honestly, the whole square is a great place for coffee, drinks, and people-watching.)
Kiou
For a slightly more tucked-away coffee spot, yet still right in the city center.
Κλίμαξ (Klimax)

For wine or coffee at a more relaxed pace. A lovely spot to sit and catch up, with views of the city’s ancient theatre. Ideal for families, as it also has a children’s play area. Our favorite corner is the reading room, perfect for coffee and getting some work done.
Γιασεμί (Jasmin) & Λατέρνα (Laterna)
For tsipouro, wine, or beer in the city center, with meze, good music, and a laid-back, social atmosphere. One of those places where you go without being in a hurry.
Μπρούσκο (Mprousko)

For wine and food to share (or not), without overthinking it. Plenty of delicious options in the city center.
Το παραδοσιακό (To Paradosiako)
For classic, proper souvlaki and any grilled favorites you’re craving. One of those places where you know exactly what to expect—simple, tasty, and satisfying.
Μαλλιώρας (Mallioras)
For truly good…kontosouvli. If you’re hungry, you’re unlikely to be disappointed.

Lucanicum
A relatively recent addition to the city’s street food scene. A small but specialized spot focusing on sausages and hot dogs, with plenty of options to choose from.
